We offer a range of premium timbers, including Canadian Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Red Grandis, Iroko, Tulipwood, Pressure-Treated Pine, Douglas Fir, and Sapele, all carefully selected for their natural durability and resistance to the elements in the UK climate. Some of these timbers have natural oils and tannins that enhance their resistance to decay and pests, while others undergo a specialised treatment process that impregnates the wood with protective substances, extending their life even further. Our range of premium timbers offers a perfect blend of beauty, durability, and environmental responsibility for any project, from fencing and gates to outdoor furniture.
Whether left to weather naturally or finished to specific tastes, our timbers are strong and stable, ensuring a long-lasting and robust solution. They contribute to the wood’s longevity and aesthetic appeal as it ages gracefully and develops a distinguished patina over time. Our selection of premium-grade timbers is low-maintenance, versatile in design, and offers similar protection due to their tight grain and natural preservatives. They are perfect for both traditional and contemporary designs in the UK, providing a perfect blend of beauty, durability, and environmental responsibility.

Our panels are designed for convenience, arriving in modular sections. This simplifies the installation process, especially for panels over 900mm high. For example, a 1800mm x 1800mm panel is divided into two 900mm sections, while a 2100mm x 1800mm panel is delivered in three sections: two 900mm high sections and one 300mm high section. This modular design is ideal for DIY enthusiasts and professional installers, as it allows for a straightforward installation.
Aside from our standard sizes, we offer custom panel dimensions through our bespoke service. This personalised option allows customers to specify their exact requirements, ensuring that each fence panel is tailored to the unique space.
We are proud to follow the guidelines of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) as part of our commitment to sustainability. Grade 1 and Grade 2 timbers have different qualities and appearances based on their grading system. In the lumber industry, Grade 1 timber, also known as Prime grade lumber, has the same structural properties as #1 grade lumber but with fewer knots and a better appearance.
On the other hand, Grade 2 Prime grade timber has the strength of #2-grade lumber but with a more appealing look and fewer knots. Regarding specific characteristics, Grade 1 lumber is ideal when strength and appearance are important. It contains few small knots, limited hole allowances, and no splits larger than the board’s width. In contrast, Grade 2 lumber is suitable when appearance is less critical, allowing for more knots, larger splits, and bark edges than Grade 1.
The panels will arrive in sections designed to slot into each other, making installation simple. For example, if you have ordered an 1800mm high panel, you will receive two 900mm high panels. If you have ordered a 2100mm high panel, you will receive two 900mm high panels and one 300mm high section. The panels can be heavy, depending on the chosen height, so we advise having an extra pair of hands if possible.
Yes, all of the timbers within our portfolio can be left to age naturally with no treatments required, although there are benefits. For example, if you let cedar age naturally without treatment, the fence panels will slowly transform into a beautiful silver-grey tone, which designers and architects often promote. If the cedar panels are treated with UV oil, customers can expect the warm reddish-brown hues to remain longer. It is simply a case of what you prefer.
To construct a standard-sized slatted fence panel, which measures 1800mm by 1800mm, the number of slats required will vary based on the width of the slats chosen. For the standard 44mm slat size, you would need at least 36 slats, allowing for a 6mm space between each to create the panel.
However, if you opt for the wider 94mm boards, the same size panel would be constructed using 18 slats with a 6mm gap between them. This ensures a consistent and visually appealing slatted design while maintaining the structural integrity of the fence panel.
